Indigenous Land Acknowledgement
Aanii/Hello:
We, Killbear Provincial Park and Friends of Killbear, acknowledge we are on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek, specifically, the Three Fires Confederacy of the Ojibwe, Bodewadimi, and Odawa People, in the Robinson Huron Treaty and Williams Treaty areas. We recognize the long history of First Nations, Métis and Inuit People in Ontario, and show respect to them, especially our neighbours of Wasauksing First Nation and Shawanaga First Nation.
We thank them. Chi Migwetch.

Major Project - Twin Points Viewing Platform
From the windswept pines to the beautiful beaches and sunsets, visitors flock to Killbear Provincial Park to lap up the rugged beauty and breath-taking views of the Georgian Bay area. Killbear has been designated a top destination in the Georgian Bay Biosphere and the Twin Points Trail is described as an 'Amazing Place' by the UNESCO Amazing Places project. It is a journey through forests and rock barrens that leads to a hidden beach between rocky points overlooking the Peninsula.
The Friends of Killbear have undertaken an ambitious project to provide easy access to Twin Points via a new accessible trail from the Day Use Beach parking lot. A wider boardwalk and ramp to a new viewing platform will ensure safety and access for all. The project also ensures the fragile ecosystem inhabited by plants and at-risk species is preserved.
Will you make a donation today to support the Twin Points Barrier Free Access & Viewing Platform and help countless future generations embrace all the benefits nature has to offer at Killbear?
Your donation has the power to take us one step closer to making this project a reality.
Please join us in sharing your love for Killbear. Please give generously today.
